Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara
Guess what everyone… tomorrow is Liz’s birthday! Make sure you stop by DBP to see what she picks for her birthday weekend mani and wish her a happy bday
Today I will update you guys on my adventures in mascara, it was time for Smashbox Bionic Mascara to go and I actually picked up this Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara (in black) which I had gotten a sample of not too long ago and used it enough times that I wanted to buy it.
Medium-sized tapered brush
This has a much smaller brush than I normally go for and it is tapered. I’ve kind of realized that I might be over the fat brush mascara, lately I feel like it just applies product where none is needed and all of that then ends up flaking off onto my face. So far I have had no flakey issues at all with Clinique Lash Doubling so that’s made me very happy.
I was pretty shocked at how much length I got out of this the first time I put it on, it packs a lot of punch in a small package. Liz feels Clinique Lash Doubling isn’t quite dramatic enough, which I can see, it doesn’t give quite the plush, thickness that I would like. However, I’ve been pretty impressed so far and think my lashes look darn good. Especially after all that flaking, I’m taking the comfortable wear over the extra thickness I’ve gotten from other mascaras, especially those with bigger brushes.
Women love to try new cosmetics. Especially lipgloss and mascara (You know it’s true!). I mentioned this new Clinique mascara awhile back when I first saw an ad for it. Since I heard about it, I was interested to see what it was all about.
However, I see both sides to this argument. I could easily see people thinking a mascara specified for bottom lashes only is totally pointless and even a little gimicky. I will admit, although intrigued, I wasn’t 100% sold before I gave it a try. But have been fully converted!
Clinique Different Lipstick in Glazed Berry
I went on a Clinique stop the other day because one of the department stores was having their Clinique bonus time. Bonuses are one of my little joys in life. If you’re unfamiliar with Clinique and their bonuses, it’s a really nice thing for consumers and beauty lovers. Clinique bonuses are gifts given with any purchase of $21.99 or more.
The bonuses include a really fun, cute make up bag packed with goodies for you to try. We have at least 1, 000 make up bonus bags collected over the years at my house. There’s usually 7 different samples included from moisturizer (like the ever popular Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer) to bronzer and everything in between. Lots of the time you get a full sized lipstick out of it, like this Clinique Different Lipstick in Glazed Berry!
I’ve eyeballed this shadow before at my local Clinique counter and always really wanted it, but I never pulled the trigger on the purchase until the other day. And now, I can not get enough of it. This shadow is killing it!
People always talk about cream shadows in the relation to creasing. Which I understand, but I feel as though with the right eye primer, cream or not, that problem should be minimal with all shadows. I have oiler skin, so I feel as though my creasing can be more of an issue because of it and my current eye primer (Lorac Behind the Scenes) is not very good. So I really need to purchase a better one so all of my shadows and I can be much happier. But even with my skin and my not so great primer, the creasing on this beauty isn’t so bad!
